CBD FAQs

We generally recommend between 0.25 mg (a Regular Dose) to 0.5 mg (a Strong Dose) of CBD per every 1 lb of bodyweight.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of 113 active cannabinoids identified in the cannabis sativa plant. Studies have shown that CBD has NO intoxicating effects such as those caused by tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in marijuana. CBD provides a legal alternative to THC (marijuana) it can give the same health benefits of marijuana but not cause the pet to get high.  CBD can help benefit many health conditions in your pet including anxiety, arthritis or joint problems, healthy digestion, seizures, allergies, general pain, regulate appetite, inflammation and more.

Research has shown that all pets (all vertebrae animals) have something called an Endocannabinoid System, which consists of many receptors located on cells all throughout the body. No. All of our products are NON-PHSYCOACTIVE and will not get your pet high in any way. All of our products are lab-tested and have zero phsycoactive elements whatsoever.

There are no negative side effects that your pet will experience from using our CBD. We have not received any reports from any customers using Pet Zen products regarding negative side effects.

Pet Zen products start to work on intermittent issues within the first 45 mins. For all other persistent issues please allow 3 days to 1 week to start seeing results. Full scale benefits are seen over a longer period of time: 1 to 2 weeks.

Our CBD is purely made from 100% pure extracted hemp oil from legal hemp grown in the United States.  Pet Zen products are legal to sell and ship in the United States.

No. Pet Zen products contain safe non toxic, naturally occurring ingredients it is virtually impossible to overdose eating our products.

The immediate effects of Pet Zen products will generally last from 4 – 8 hours.

Our CBD is grown at hemp farms that use organic nutrients and farming practices. There currently is no “organic” certification process for Cannabidiol (CBD). We do test our CBD for pesticides, potency and residual solvents to ensure that our products are the best quality and safe for your pet.

Yes we regularly test all of our products. We use third party labs to test our products from start to finish. We test to make sure the proper dosage of cannabinoids are present in each product. We also test to ensure that our products do not contain any other unwanted chemicals or metals. See our product testing results page for more info.

Yes. All of our ingredients are organic, non-GMO, non-dairy and gluten free.

No. Pet Zen products are made with all natural and organic ingredients. The active ingredient CBD works naturally within the endocannabinoid system which is a completely different biochemical pathway then your regular pet medications. It is ok to use Pet Zen products with your pet alongside any other pet medications.

All of our products are are Non-GMO and contain natural ingredients. They don’t contain any preservatives, wheat, refined sugars, or dairy so allergy reactions are very uncommon. If your pet seems to be allergic to one of our products simply contact us for a refund.

  • Example 1: I want to give my 40 lb dog a Regular Dose, I would multiply his weight by 0.25 to get 10mg of CBD (40 lbs X 0.25mg = 10mg).
  • Example 2: I want to give my 10 lb cat a Strong Dose, I would multiply his weight by 0.5 to get 5mg of CBD (10 lbs X 0.5mg = 5mg).

Pet Zen treats contain cannabinoids that are natural, safe and nontoxic. They can be taken any time and as frequently as needed.

Ordering / Purchasing FAQs

We are very sorry you are experiencing difficulty during checkout. If you are seeing errors or the charge is not going through, it is usually because your bank does not recognize the charge. In this case, you will need to call your bank to acknowledge or verify the charge and then try again.

** All products are made in the USA.

Due to shipping restrictions, we are not able to ship Pet Zen products to APO and FPO addresses at this time.

Please allow all orders 1 to 2 business days to process before being shipped out (95% of all orders are shipped out within 24 hours from purchase).

All orders purchased after 1 pm on Fridays will not ship out until the following Monday.

Free Standard Shipping Time: 4-6 business days delivery once the order is successfully processed.

Priority Mail Shipping Time: 3-4 business days delivery once the order is successfully processed.

 

Please note: USPS First-Class and Priority Mail are not guaranteed delivery services and do not have guaranteed delivery dates—only an expected delivery date.

 

Shipping Rates

We currently offer Free Economy Shipping to our customers during checkout (1-5 days).  We also offer a more guaranteed shipping service (2-3 days Priority Mail) for a flat rate of $7.50. Before payment, you will be shown what the cost of shipping will be, and you will have a chance to not place your order if you decide not to.

 

Order Tracking

All customers are provided with a tracking number via email once their order has shipped. You can track your order by clicking on the tracking number in the shipping confirmation email.

When the tracking information isn’t being updated by USPS as it should be, we understand your frustration in having to wait for the package. Sometimes weather is an issue, and sometimes packages just aren’t scanned into the carrier’s system at intermediary stops, so it looks like nothing is happening. Other times, it’s just the carrier running behind or performing additional transit safety measures based on the contents of the package.

It’s not uncommon for USPS to skip package scans when they’re running behind in order to allow them to move packages quicker than otherwise since additional scanning also means additional processing time.  In some cases like this, the package will just show up delivered with no tracking history.

It is your responsibility to make sure that the shipping info is correct before you submit your order. We ship out orders on a daily basis, Monday – Friday. This means that sometimes we are unable to intercept your order and correct in time before it goes out. If you have made a mistake with the shipping address in your order, we are not responsible for this and there is a good chance that your order has already shipped out to the address which you provided.

Changes in shipping address will not be accepted once your order has been placed. Only if the package is returned back to us due to a “Wrong address – Return to sender” error, will we try to arrange the order to be re-shipped to the new updated address.

Our regular business hours are Monday-Thursday 8am – 4pm and Friday 8am-1pm Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time.

We offer email support during our regular business hours. All emails left over the weekend will not be answered until Monday.

Yes. We regularly offer special savings and discount codes via newsletter campaigns, social media, and from our site. Codes cannot be combined with any other offer, promo, sale, or bundle.  Only one code per customer, household, and IP address can be used. Some rules apply. Contact customer service for more details.
